CSX Heritage: Locomotive 1834 Honoring the Georgia Railroad
Our 16th CSX Heritage Locomotive, numbered #1834, is officially on track! This locomotive proudly bears the livery of the historic Georgia Railroad, which was chartered in Athens, GA. At its peak, the Georgia Railroad expanded to include key cities and hundreds of miles of track. It later became part of the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad and the Family Lines System, ultimately evolving into our modern CSX. Celebrate this rich heritage with us as we honor the legacy of the Georgia Railroad!

Founded in 1875, the P&LE was a specialized railroad that primarily served Pittsburgh's steel mills, moving the coal that powered the mighty facilities. Our #ONECSX team at the Waycross Locomotive Shop did a great job bringing this "Little Giant" heritage unit to life.

“Go ahead and shove back” got me cause as a conductor saying that will get you nicknames.
CSX 1834
This is a brilliant video of recruitment, which seems like a demanding job, but the way he narrated was outstanding
I can't wait to work here
How does precision scheduled railroading negatively effect retention?
Who likes Joe Hinrichs 👇
My very first model train was an engine. That is my favorite engine.
Hello CSX I wanted to ask something about an pan am train heritage unit for the next one of heritage units with a Nathan K5HL horn for it

Pittsburgh Work Ethic All the Way!
CSX and the others are on a fake hiring binge to make the stock price look good. They post ads all of the time hiring in your area but all they are doing at best is creating a pipeline and your application might not be reviewed for five years or longer. Everytime they advertise their hiring it helps the stock price and make the company look healthy.
AL IS MY COUISON
This seems like a great career .... until I started reading the comments!🤣🤣 I'm currently travel building wind farms all over the country so the travel isn't a problem for me. I think the only thing that would bother me is the weather. Even though I have to deal with it now travelling to different areas, I do have to comfort of getting back into my truck to get warm when its cold. I'm not worried about the heat because I grew up in Alabama and I'd much rather be sweating than freezing. Hotel living is not a problem, unless they book the hotel for you and its a dump. But, I would hope they'd book somewhere you could get the rest you need comfortably. I appreciate all the other comments I've read under this video as it was/is extremely helpful in my decision-making process. I still think I'd like to try it after a few more years out here in the wind industry. Thank you CSX and those of you who've been in the rail industry for a while!!
Such a beautiful unit, you did a great job on this one, can’t wait to see this unit lead trains
RIP McKinely “Mac” Jack Williams 1941-2024

Dont forget to read the fine print. You sell your soul to cxs, period. Good money . No life. No family time. You miss everything. If you have kids or plan on having kids then run away and forget csx and the railroad. State jobs have the same benefits .
